We are only an information platform
We put repair requests and a directory of contractors side by side, and let you contact contractors directly.
We are not a contractor, not an engineer, we do not carry out repairs, and we do not choose a contractor for you.
The information comes from contractors
Names, services, biographies, reviews and registration numbers on the directory are submitted by the contractors. We do not — and cannot — verify their credentials on your behalf.
You can check a registration number yourself against the official EMSD or Water Supplies Department registers, or ask the contractor for a copy of their licence.
Prices are a reference, not a quote
The price list on the Site is published reference information to help you compare and ask, not an offer.
The actual quotation comes from the contractor. Any change agreed while you talk to them is binding only if it is confirmed in writing between you.
The decision is yours
Which contractor you choose, when work starts, how you pay and what the contract says are all your decisions.
We do not make them for you, and we do not recover money for you.
Check before you commit
- Ask for the scope of work, price, timeline and warranty in writing.
- Ask to see the registration number or licence and check it yourself against the official register.
- For larger jobs, agree first, pay later, and consider an independent inspection while work is underway.
If something goes wrong
If you have a dispute, speak to the contractor first, or complain through the platform. We will record the case and refer it and help communication where we reasonably can.
The platform does not assess the quality of work and does not take legal action for you. Disputes are resolved between the two of you, or by the courts.
